Onward Travel co-founder, Kat, lived in Prague for almost four years. She is thrilled to be able to offer this special tour of the Czech Republic in May 2022…Whether you are a lover of art, design, nature, wine, beer, architecture, history or cuisine there is something to delight you in this spectacular country.
We will spend the first part of the trip in Prague, the Czech capital that is frequently ranked as one of the world’s most beautiful cities. With its laid back attitude, amazing attention to decorative detail, and fascinating history it’s a place like no other. Kat is excited to show you all her favorite places here! We’ll also take a day trip by train to Pilsen, the charming city in Western Bohemia world famous for its namesake lager beer.
The Czech Republic has two provinces: Bohemia and Moravia. Bohemia is where Prague is located, and is a generally busier place. Moravia is the Eastern and Southern part of the country, and it’s a region much less visited by travelers. We’ll spend the second half of our week there, where local folk culture runs deep, delicious wines are made from regional grape varietals, the natural landscape is stunning and delightful design, culture and cuisine await us. The Czechs are peaceful, artistic and darkly funny people and the country boasts Medieval cities and Modernist design, meandering rivers and limestone peaks.
